Cafe Press shop launched...

There, after being a member for two years, it's finally started: Polyartgirl's Shop | CafePress. I have so much more that I can put inside, but I'm always a bit nervous about sharing my work. A few pieces that I haven't shown much/shared anywhere much, like this one:

and this one:

I'll update more this afternoon...

Studio work...

This is a painting I'm doing for and of my online friend Dana:

I'll finish it one of these days...it's just taken a long time to try to paint somebody that I'm getting to know. It's growing with our friendship. At first it was too shallow, but now I like it much more than I did, though it's still too static.

The Art Thing project

Our group, The Art Thing, is currently working on a project in that we do a portrait of another person in the group. I'm not sure I like the way that we chose who we are going to do, but this is the photo that I'm working from.

I may do a van dyke print. I've already created a negative to work from. I'm also thinking that a van dyke printed and then maybe do some painting on the photo might be fun. I've yet to try to hand-color a photo.

I just need about 12 more hours in each of my days...that would be good.

Another Bound Painting

This painting is almost finished. I'll post an up to date picture this evening.

I've been discussing the possibility of leaving her unbound. It's much more uncomfortable. An offering, a willingness that the "vows" painting doesn't quite imply.

A new beginning

Finally starting a companion to go with my website at Polyartgirl.Net. I'll begin posting images as soon as I can get home and start taking them.

Here's a sampling from my site:

"This is the first to be shown in a series of paintings dealing with the bondage of marriage. I believe that we all choose the bondage in our lives, from the jobs that we accept to the people that we marry."
