Love this little wheel... it's small enough to travel, easy to spin, double drive and has at least three bobbins (maybe four)... come check it out at slvfest.com

Spring Morning: Hand Combed
Newest combed rovings... 9 little roving cakes in the most delicious color... the warmest, softest brown milk fiber and bamboo blended with spring green merino and a touch of angelina. This has to be one of my favorite combed blends ever.

Chocolate Milk Fiber
More new milk fibers for my etsy store... This week I'm combing some of this silky fiber into a nice sparkling roving. I'll post that up this week.

Phat Samples for April
Hand-painted bamboo samples for Phat Fiber. I'll list the rest on Etsy... well, most of it. I think some of it will be combed into some rovings... maybe a little more of it will be spun up into a gorgeous single yarn. Maybe there won't be much on Etsy... or not for long anyway!

Hand Painted Silk Latte - Milk Fiber
New!! I'll be listing these milk fiber rovings as well as blending the milk fiber into my current combed rovings. I'm so excited to start offering this beautiful fiber in my Etsy shop this month.
The fiber is incredibly soft. I'll have to spin a sample soon.
Some info about Silk Latte:
Milk Fiber advantages:
* Superior in strength to wool!
* Contains 17 amino acids and natural anti-bacterial properties...hint hint..socks...
* Same ph as human skin (great for sensitive skin!)
* Milk Fiber is enviro-friendly and is considered a "green" product.
*Milk fiber is made from milk casein, instead of fresh milk
More info at: Wear milk if you can't drink it (Milk Yarn) - TE Online

New Combed Roving - Purple People Eater
I've decided to start playing with all of my stashed fibers. I have Everything at my fingertips, and I love to comb.
In the end there are about 5 roving balls with this set. They all contain the same fibers with differing levels of blending. The fibers include: handpainted mohair locks, supersoft white Merino, bright purple bamboo, lots of sparkly angelina, and just a touch of green sari silk.
I'll list this on Etsy in the next couple days as I start the next batch on my combs.

Phatfiber Samples for February
These were my samples for February. Made with the art yarn spinner in mind, but they can easily be carded into a fluffy batt. Next month, I think it'll be yarn... maybe merino. To get more info on Phat Fiber, head over to: http://phatfiber.com/

Pablo's new Ipod Sock
Made from Maggi Knits Irish Linen/Cotton, this little project was a fun one to figure out. After knitting two ipod socks in the last little while, I realized that I'm knitting socks...so I might as well knit some for my feet.
They're out of some really soft cormo yarn that I bought at the Pagosa Fiber Festival a few years back. I dyed the yarn last week, and it's been singing to me ever since.

Loved how these looked in the sunlight this evening
I'm working on another weaving. I want to have at least two more done before the Art Tour.
Lately I can't get enough of working on my knitted rug. There are pictures up over at flickr and at ravelry. I'm going to have to work on xmas presents again soon...

I just love contests... this is inspiring me! I think I'll have to post a contest too. Look for one by the end of the month. This to celebrate the resurrection of my crafty blogging. Starting today!

First Ever Sock
I'm still alive! Mostly busy making gifts and learning new processes.... oh and making stuff for the holiday festivals. This is the first sock I've made, and I'm making slippers too.
Yarn started on every bobbin, wool in the combs, wool in the carder, weaving on the loom... Must finish projects!

Wanna ride?
I have a riding class on the 5th & 6th... we'll see what I can do!
Pablo's making potato salad... the scents of pickles and onions come from the kitchen. There's steam rising in the sink from the potatoes in the strainer. Dad and Daniel are coming to visit in an hour or two.
It's a good birthday... quiet and happy.

My current fave!
This is currently my favorite bead that I've made. The picture doesn't really do it justice. There's red inside, orange stripes, and clear on the outside. It's lovely and turned out exactly as I imagined.
I received my first glass working tool in the mail Friday. It's a graphite rod that I can use to manipulate the glass, flatten it out, etc. next I need a pair of large tweezers......

SLVFest booth at the Monte Street Fair
It was a beautiful day, and though I was tired, it was good. We sold some t-shirts, gave out lots of info, and showed off the beautiful Tina Jensen II spinning wheel that we're raffling off.
